Winners of the last edition, the Young Three Lions are back in the South of France this summer. According to the head coach Neil Dewsnip, England are ready to test themselves against nations from across the world.
“I’m really excited as a head coach to be going to Toulon, as it’s one of the tournaments that I’ve never worked at before,” said Dewsnip to the FA official website.
“We’re the holders so everyone will want to beat us, and we will probably be a younger side than the other teams which brings huge challenges in itself, albeit really exciting ones. To end the season with a trip to a prestigious and high-profile tournament like Toulon, where we’re going to be challenged and stretched, is just what we want to happen.,”
“It’ll be a first in my coaching career to come up against the likes of Cuba and Angola, so it’s fantastic for our players too and it pleases me as it gives us a different challenge.,”
As a reminder, England will face Japan, Cuba and Angola in the Group A of the Toulon Tournament 2017.
