Toulon Tournament's 100 best players : (70-61)

More than 1700 international players took part in the Toulon Tournament founded in 1967 by Maurice Revello. Many of these players have enjoyed a successful career . Ahead of the 45th edition of the Toulon Tournament (29 May-10 June), we unveil you the best 100 players in the Toulon Tournament history. Here are the players from 70th to 61st.

70. FRÉDÉRIC KANOUTÉ

Born on 2nd September 1977

Before playing for Mali, Frédéric Kanouté was a France player, especially during the Toulon Tournament 1998. With his squad, he reached to the final but failed to win it. He also won 2 Europa Leagues with Sevilla, scoring 135 for the Spanish club.

69. DIRK KUYT

Dirk Kuyt took part to the Toulon Tournament 1999. Unknown at the moment, he distinghuished himself thanks to successful years in Feyenoord and Liverpool. With Netherland, he earned 105 caps and played the World Cup final in 2010 but lost against Spain.

67. MIKAËL SILVESTRE

Mikaël Silvestre had two successful year in the Toulon Tournament. He won it in 1997 and reached the final in 1998. During his career, he won the Premier League five times and the Champions League in 2008 with Manchester United.

66. STEVE MCMANAMAN

A few months after making his debut with Liverpool, Steve McManaman won the Toulon Tournament 1999 with the Three Lions. He also won two Champions League with Real Madrid.

On 1979, Argentina played the Toulon Tournament in order to prepare the U20s World Cup which took part a few weeks later. Such a good idea : they won the World Cup and Ramon Diaz ended as the best goal scorer of the competition with 8 goals. He confirmed all his abilities during his career in South America, Europe and Asia !

63. MAXIME BOSSIS

The French defender was on of the key players of France, who reached the final of the Toulon Tournament 1975. During his career, he established himself as one of the best French players. He earned 76 caps and won the Euro 1984.

62. VINCENT CANDELA

France and Emil Kostadinov, such a special history. The forward helped Bulgaria to win the Toulon Tournament in 1986. On 1993, he made history by scoring against France during World Cup 1994 qualifiers and eliminated Les Bleus.
