After a tough and harsh game, Ivory Coast beat Bahrain in the first game of group B (1-0). Ivorians kept the ball and had the possession, but didn’t have so many chances, contrary to their opponents. Bahrain did a lot of counter-attacks, without any success. Unfortunately for them, Bahrain attackers wasted many face-to-faces they had when the score was 0-0. Elephants took benefit from that, and scored at the 37th minute, by Gnoukouri who was here to push the ball in the empty net.
The second period wasn't as balanced as the first one. Ivorians took the advantage on the field, and didn't concede real occasions. Ivory Coast get a few situations, but their attackers weren't very effective. Unless a very big situation for Bahrain, Ivory Coast just had to keep their lead until the end of the game.
