Alec Georgen, France’s defender ans captain, said he was disappointed by the draw of France against Wales (0-0) : "The result is logical. They had many very big chances. It's not a bad result, but we can’t be happy with that. We knew they will play very low and do only counter-attacks. We had to get around them, create some mouvement, but we didn’t do it. We are disappointed we didn’t score. We didn’t succeed to destabilize Wales".
France head coach Jean-Claude Giuntini explained this draw by the lack of physical condition :
"We are disappointed with the result, because we shall score a goal today. We were missing some accuracy. We played better during the end of the first half, and we were smarter. We wanted to do good things, but we have to be faster in passing the ball. We have now a good challenge against Ivory Coast".
