When he played the Toulon Tournament 2016 with the Japanese national team, Kosuke Nakamura was only a young goalkeeper with a limited experience. Two years later, the 22-year-old established himself as the most promising goalkeeper of the country and has impressed the observers over the last months.

After a promising league campaign with Kashiwa Reysol in 2017 (he was the most-used player with 34 games started), the Tokyo-born has been named best goalkeeper of the J-League.

Following this individual award, Kosuke Nakamura has made his Japan debut on December. Then, he has kept the momentum going as he enjoyed his Asian Champions League debut on January against Muang Thong United (3-0).

Given his stunning his form, Nakamura can dream about a call-up for the Japan's World Cup squad !
