Despite the second loss in a row for South Korea wednesday against Togo (1-2), the head coach Jungyong Chung was satisfied with the display of his team.
"I am very happy that all the players gave their best. You might have notice there was two years of difference between the teams. The players tried to do what I told them before the game. We conceded two goals due to two defensive mistakes. That is the only negative part of the game.
If you look only the result, you can't be happy because we got zero points. But this team is new and aims for the Asian Federation Cup qualfication in september. So this squad is currently in process to become a solid one. When I look at the way they played, I am very satisfied.
We conceded six goals in two games, so we definitely have to work on our defense. But we have notice the team played better against Togo than against France, so we hope we can play better against Scotland. My aim is to encourage the players to do more passing games to the front. But I would also ecourage them to score goals, because we had many chances in two games but we were very poor at scoring."
