Michael Johnston ready to make his mark at Celtic

Named third best player of the Maurice Revello Tournament 2018, the 19-year-old midfielder is enjoying a promising pre-season with the Glasgow-based club.

The Scotland U21 international has distinguished himself over the last weeks. Johnston has made his European debut against Alashkert (3-0) on July 18th during the Champions League first qualifying round. Meanwhile, he has also found the net during friendlies against Linz (Austria) and Standard de Liege (Belgium).
Thanks to his performances, Johnston seems to have secure his short-term future with the Scottish champions.
"We need to develop him, we need to get him some games. If that changes then there's a number of options for him and teams that would like to take him, but at this moment he stays. At this moment in time he's very much in my plans", said Brendan Rodgers.
The 2018-2019 campaign can be a breakthrough season for Johnston. A youngster who was still a ball boy at the Celtic Park few years ago.
