The group C started this Monday at Stade de Lattre of Aubagne. In the first game of the day, Ireland smashed China (4-1). The Boys in Green scored their two first goals in the five first minutes thanks to Elbouzedi (1') and Connolly (5'), a historical record as no team managed to do that in 47 Maurice Revello Tournament editions.
Despite Yang reduced the gap (18'), Ireland did not stop and score two more goals. Adam Idah scored two penalties (56', 82') and offered a large win to his team that allow them to take the lead of the group C.
