Here are some of the referees who will cover the tournament:

  • Yoshimi YAMASHITA : A 36-year-old Japanese referee, she will be one of three referees from the Asian/Oceanic continent who will officiate at the Tournament. In her career, she has already officiated matches at the U17 Women's World Cups in 2016 and 2018. She also refereed during the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2019.

During her career, she was able to referee at the FIFA Women's World Cups 2012, 2014 and 2016. She is the only female referee for the 2021 African Nations Football Championship in Cameroon. She is also the first woman to referee a CAF men's match.
