Mali leaves the Toulon Tournament with a win over Bulgaria
Mali get their first win of the Tournament after beating Bulgaria (3-1). A good way to finish the tournament for Les Aigles, who offered very good football all along the competition and get the third place of the group thanks to this win. After a boring start of game, without any chances, Bulgaria finally get three in a few minutes. First, by Kraev, whose volley was heroically saved by Dibatéré (20'). Then, Georgiev tried his chance with a shot at the enter of the box, but it was off the net (21'). Dibatéré made another amazing save three minutes later on a long distance free-kick from Rasim (24'). Bulgaria paid those missed chances. On their first opportunity, Mali took the lead. Samabagué crossed it for Samassekou, who scored thanks to a shot without controlling the ball (1-0, 26').
Not enough to make Bulgaria give up. Antoni Zdravkov's team equalized just after the break. Kraev passed it to Despodov who won his face to face with the goalkeeper (1-1, 43'). Unfortunately for them, Sambague and Samassekou, involved in the first goal, hit again. On a corner kick from the first one, the second one scored thanks to header (2-1, 59'). Diarra ended the game with a third goal for Mali after dribbling through the goalkeeper (3-1, 80'). First victory for Fousseni Diawara's team, who leaves the tournament in a good way. Third loss in four games for Bulgaria, who ends the competition at the last spot of the group.
