First win for Japan over Guinea
Japan get their first win of the tournament by beating Guinea, at Six-Fours (2-1). Makoto Teguramori's team handled the game early. Togashi received a cross from Mitsumaru and scored with a lovely volley (3'). This advantage didn't last long for Japan. Seven minutes later, Soumah equalized after a confused action and a duel with a Japan defender and the goalkeeper. The striker felt with his defender, but the ball slowly entered the net. Japanese claimed to a foul, but the referee didn't whistle (10'). Tasfir was near to give the lead to his team after a few amazing skills but his shot missed the net for a few centimeters (16').
Surely some regrets for Guinea, because Japan took the advantage just before the break, thanks to a deflected shot from Minamino (39'). Soumah was close to equalize again for Guinea, but his tackle shot after a great cross from the left was saved on the line by Miura (50'). That was the last chance for Guinea. Fourth loss in four game for Koly Koivogui's team and first win for Japan after two defeats.
