A controlled win for Portugal over Guinea

img
After a game totally controlled, Portugal beat Guinea and get back in the race in the group B (2-0). A great result for Edgar Borges' team, next to an enjoyable game. As soon as the start, we were close to see the goal of the year. First, by Tasfir, near to score the goal of the year, but his bicycle kick finished off the net for a few centimeters... (11'). Then, by Baldé, who tried to lob the goalkeeper from the halfway line (16'). A big consequence for Guinea however, because Portugal took the lead before that. Ribeiro found Baldé with a cross and the Toleda forward pushed it in the net (1-0, 12').

Unable to get some chances, Guinea suffered against an offensive Portugal squad. Koli Koivogui's team finally get one after the break. Milimono received a cross from the left but his attemp was saved by Costa with his feet (51'). And Guinea regretted it again. On a corner kick from Ribeiro to the second post, Verdasca hit a header and lobbed Doucouré (2-0, 58'). A second assist for Ribeiro, wich secured win for Portugal. Lusitanians will face Japan for their next game on monday. Guinea will play against England.
