Adrien Hunou, winner of the Toulon Tournament in 2015 and runner-up in 2014, is enjoying a promising start to the season. After two successive loan spells at Clermont Foot (Ligue 2), the 22-year-old has forced his way into the Stade Rennais first team.
This season, the French young midfielder has played 8 Ligue 1 games including 6 as a starter. He has also netted his first goal in the French top flight on 21 September against Olympique de Marseille (3-2). After being named player of the 2015-2016 season by the Clermont Foot fans (7 goals and 6 assists in 35 games in all competitions), Hunou has confirmed his good form with Stade Rennais, his childhood club.
Hunou has been rewarded for his fine performances as he has signed last week a new contract with Stade Rennais which will run until 2020.
