The FIFA Club World Cup final between Real Madrid and Kashima Antlers was thrilling. The Japan champions were leading 2-1 after 52 minutes but the Spanish side came from behind thanks to a Cristiano Ronaldo’s hat-trick to clinch the title after the extra-time (4-2).
The 31-year-old forward, recently named Ballon d’Or 2016, has equalized with a penalty on the hour mark. During the extra-time, the Real Madrid star gave the lead to his team after 98 minutes. Then, the Portuguese ace scored his third goal of the game with a close-range effort after 104 minutes.
Cristiano Ronaldo, winner of the Toulon Tournament 2003, has clinched the FIFA Club World Cup title for the 3rd time in his career. He has already won this trophy in 2008 with Manchester United as well as in 2014 with Real Madrid against the Argentinean side San Lorenzo.
