James Rodriguez is living a mixed 2016-2017 campaign. The 25-year-old Colombian attacking midfielder is probably frustrated by his lack of playing time with Real Madrid (only 679 minutes played in La Liga this season) but he’s proving in the same time that he’s without doubt the best player of his national team.
During the international break, Colombia have beaten Bolivia (1-0) as well as Ecuador (2-0) and can thank Rodriguez who was involved in all the goals scored by the Cafeteros. The Toulon Tournament 2011 best player has netted the winner against Bolivia. Few days later, he scored the opener against Ecuador and assisted the second goal of his team.
Thanks to his last two goals, Rodriguez took his tally to 19 goals in 54 international caps with Colombia. He is now fourth in the list of Colombia's all-time top scorers. And he’s only 25…
