Since joining Sporting Portugal this summer from Sampdoria, Bruno Fernandes is in a scintillating form. The 22-year-old midfielder, who played the Toulon Tournament in 2014, has adapted quickly to his new team and helped the Lisbon-based club to clinch four wins in as many league games.
Fernandes is currently the Sporting Portugal joint-top scorer as he scored 3 goals in 4 league games. He has impressed the observers earlier this month thanks to his stunning strike against Vitoria Guimaraes (5-0).
This week-end, the Portuguese midfielder has netted another stunner against Estoril (2-1).
His fine performances have caught the eye of Fernando Santos who handed him his first Portugal call-up for the World Cup 2018 qualifiers against Faroe Islands (August 31) and Hungary (September 3).
