We discovered him here in France during the Toulon Tournament 2016, now we’ll have the opportunity to follow his performances in Europe during the next years. After making 96 appearances for the Japanese side Gamba Osaka, Yosuke Ideguchi has signed for the Championship outfit Leeds United.
However, the 21-year-old Japanese midfielder will have to wait before to make his Leeds debut as he hasn’t fulfilled the conditions to gain a UK work permit : that’s to say belong to a nation ranked in the FIFA top 50 and participate in at least 75% games played by this nation over the last two years.
Given his growing influence in the Japan national team and the participation of the Samuraï Blue to the upcoming World Cup (which will allow Japon to integrate the FIFA top 50), Ideguchi may get a work permit in the next summer. Meanwhile, he will spent the rest of the season on loan at Spanish side Cultura Leonesa in order to adapt to the European football.
