After seven years spent in England (including a spell at Southampton), Cody Cropper came back to his native country as the 24-year-old American keeper signed for New England Revolution on July 2016.
Despite his European experience as well as his numerous international caps with the USA youth teams (notably during the Toulon Tournament 2013), Cropper had everything to prove with New England Revolution.
The Maple Grove-born has quickly earned the starting spot and has met the expectations as he played 28 Major League Soccer games in 2017.
His performances with New England Revolution caught the of the USA’s head coach Dave Sarachan. The latter selected Cropper for the January Training Camp organized by the US Soccer in order to prepare the friendly against Bosnia-Herzegovina (January 28).
Cropper has already been called-up to the USA senior team few years ago but he hasn’t made yet his international debut. This January Training Camp could be a huge opportunity for him to stake his claim.
