The Toulon Tournament is fast approaching. To wait patiently until the beginning of the 46th edition of the competition (from 26th May to 9th June), let’s take a look at the players who could shine during the Maurice Revello Tournament 2018. Today, we talk about Dimitry Bertaud, the young French goalkeeper from Montpellier.

Promising player from Montpellier HSC, Dimitry Bertaud is preparing to compete for the Maurice Revello Tournament for the second time in a row upon the 46th edition of the Maurice Revello Tournament. The young keeper of « Les Bleuets » lived a 2017 year full of emotions, as he signed last June his first professional (four-years) contract with the MHSC, his training club that he joined in 2011. A logical development for MHSC chairman Laurent Nicollin. « This is good for the club, this is good for Dimitry. This kid deserves it… ».

Montpellier goalkeeper followed his path by particpating to his first professional game last 24th October 2017. For the first time, Bertaud appeared in the starting team with the senior squad during an away game in Guingamp (2-0) for League Cup’s round of sixteen.

In the meantime, the young French pursued his improvement on the international stage by being once again called-up the 2nd November 2017 by Philippe Montanier to defend U20 France national team’s goal for two friendlies in Morocco. He continued then with a game against United States, won 2-0, last 21th March.

Selected this year by Johan Radet, France coach, the young Dimitry Bertaud, from all of his 180 centimeters and his 19 years old, is getting ready to live his second participation to the Maurice Revello Tournament. After a first interesting one (three times in the starting team during the 2017 Festival), the number 16 of « Les Bleuets » will know once more how to defend the French team’s goal during the Toulon Tournament 2018 against South Korea the 27th May, Scotland the 30th May and Togo the 2nd June.
