The Everton player Fraser Hornby netted the opener during the 1-1 draw between Togo and Scotland (1-1). Find out below his postgame thoughts.
“We came to the game, not knowing much about Togo. This is what the tournament is all about, playing against unpredictable teams. I think we’ve played well throughout the game but unfortunately we can’t take our chances.
I felt good for my first game with the U21s. Happy to score and hopefully I can get few more in this tournament. Obviously we come to the tournament, wanting to win it. It’s not our point of view to go to a tournament and not thinking we can win it. Last year, we didn’t pick up any points in the first game. Today, we did already better than we did last year. We came third in 2017. Hopefully, we can do better and win the tournament this year.”
