Romain Perraud reflects on the France win over Togo (2-0) and largely on the tournament. The OGC Nice left-back can't hide his disappointment as The Bleuets will not play the semi-finals.
« We feel a little frustration, we had missed the boat against Scotland, this defeat costs us a lot. We knew we didn’t have our destiny in our hands. Unfortunately it went wrong, but we finish on a positive point with a good display against Togo ! Now, we still have a ranking match and we’ll do everything to finish as high as possible !
Personally, I’m happy about what I did during the Maurice Revello Tournament so far but the individual performance is less important than the collective performance. Today, I’m disappointed because I would have like play the semi finals. I think with entire humility that we've had the level to secure the top spot of group. That's a shame !
Everybody comes with personal goals. For my part, I would have like to go as far as possible and win this tournament. Sometimes I think we lacked determination. It’s never easy because it’s the first time we played together."
