For their first game in the Maurice Revello Tournament 2019, France didn't miss their debut and defeated Qatar at Stade de Lattre of Aubagne on Sunday (2-0). Les Bleuets scored a goal during each periods : firstly thanks to the FC Metz right-back Yann Godart after a superb team goal built with Koba Koindredi and Tom Rapnouil (1-0, 42').
After a controlled second half, Adil Taoui offered the second goal and the win by scoring a penalty at the end of the game (2-0, 90'). Thanks to this victory, France start in the best way their competition. Despite a decent performance, Qatar couldn't stop the French side and have to win their two next games to still hope to qualify.
