Ramos, Disasi, Barnes... The Tournoi Maurice Revello graduates animate the transfer market

img

The 2023 summer transfer window is in full swing. Several Maurice Revello Tournament graduates have been involved in the different moves registered all around the world over the last weeks. Recap.

As is the case at every transfer window, English clubs are sparing no expense in strengthening their squads. Chelsea, for example, have been on a buying spree in recent months. The latest signing for the Blues is Axel Disasi. The central defender, who came through the Maurice Revello Tournament in 2018, joins the London club for €45m. A new step for the French international, who will be reunited with his former defensive colleague at AS Monaco, Benoit Badiashile.

Still in England, Newcastle are continuing their intelligent recruitment drive. The Magpies have bought Harvey Barnes for just over €40m. The England attacking midfielder, who took part in the Tournament in 2017, leaves Leicester, his lifelong club relegated to the Championship, to join Newcastle in the Champions League this season. Enough for a return to the national team?

In France, PSG are continuing to add to the Portuguese colony in their squad. Straight from Benfica, Gonçalo Ramos is the latest addition to the Parisian squad, where he joins compatriots Nuno Mendes, Vitinha and Danilo Pereira. The striker, who took part in the Tournament in 2019, joins the capital club on loan with an option to buy.

Other notable transfers in recent weeks include Franck Kessie, who joins Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli after a season with FC Barcelona. Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada is set to continue his career at Lazio after leaving Frankfurt. Finally, we will also be keeping a close eye on the new adventures of James Rodriguez at Sao Paulo, and James Ward-Prowse at West Ham.
