A peine une semaine de compétition et nous assistons déjà à une grosse sensation dans cette Coupe du Monde. L’Espagne, championne du monde en titre, est d’ores et déjà éliminée ! Après avoir été humiliée par les Pays-Bas (1-5), la Roja s’est inclinée face au Chili (0-2). L’ouverture du score a été l’œuvre d’Eduardo Vargas, vainqueur du Festival International Espoirs en 2009. L’attaquant chilien a par ailleurs été élu homme du match.

Plusieurs joueurs chiliens passés par le tournoi ont pris part à cette rencontre : Eugenio Mena, Gary Medel, Gonzalo Jara ainsi que Carlos Carmona entré en jeu.

Only one week of competition and we already assist to a big surprise in this World Cup. Spain, reigning champion, is eliminated after two games ! After an humiliating defeat against Netherlands (1-5), the Roja lost against Chile (0-2). Eduardo Vargas, winner of the Festival International Espoirs in 2009, scored the opening goal for Chile. Besides, the Chilean forward has been elected man of the game.

Many Chilean players who took part in the Festival International Espoirs played against Spain : Eugenio Mena, Gary Medel, Gonzalo Jara and Carlos Carmona.
