L’Angleterre participera au Festival International Espoirs 2015
La nouvelle génération anglaise est prometteuse. Les jeunes « Three Lions » se sont qualifiés brillamment pour l’Euro 2015 qui va se dérouler cet été en République Tchèque. La sélection de Gareth Southgate viendra donc disputer le Festival International Espoirs dans l’optique de préparer ce championnat d’Europe.
L’Angleterre avait terminé quatrième du tournoi, l’année dernière, et aura pour ambition de finir à une meilleure place cet été. Les Anglais ont déjà remporté le Festival International Espoirs à quatre reprises (1990, 1991, 1993, 1994).
À noter que le record de buts inscrits lors d’une même édition est détenu par un attaquant anglais : Alan Shearer, la légende de Newcastle. Le meilleur buteur de l’histoire de la Premier League avait marqué 7 buts lors du Festival International Espoirs 1991 et avait également été élu meilleur joueur du tournoi.

England will compete in the 2015 Toulon Tournament
During the next weeks, we will unveil you the name of the teams which will take part in the 2015 Toulon Tournament. Today, we talk about England which will contest the Festival for the 17th time.
The England’s new generation is promising. The young “Three Lions” are qualified for the next Euro 2015 in Czech Republic. The Gareth Southgate’s team will play the Toulon Tournament to prepare this European Championship.
Last year, England finished fourth of the Festival and will try to have a better result this summer. The English national team has already won four Toulon Tournament titles (1990, 1991, 1993, 1994).
It should be noted that an English player holds the record for the most goals scored in a single tournament : Alan Shearer. The Premier League’s all-time top scorer has netted 7 goals during the 1991 Toulon Tournament and was also named the best player of the competition.
