Each month, we select the Team of the Month featuring only Maurice Revello Tournament graduates who have shone with their clubs and/or their national teams. Let’s take a look at the players who stole the show on December.
Alisson (Liverpool) : After being handed the first ever Yachine Trophy, given to the best goalkeeper in the world by France Football on early December, the Tournoi Maurice Revello 2013 winner has also added another title to his collection at the end of the month as he won the FIFA Club World Cup with Liverpool thanks to a win over Flamengo.
Djibril Sidibé (Everton) : The Toffees players recovered some of their poise, the World Cup 2018 winner as well. The French right-back has been in excellent form on December like illustrated by his assists against Leicester, Chelsea and Burnley.
Merih Demiral (Juventus) : The 11th December was maybe a turning point in the Turkey international career's at Juventus. That day, the Tournoi Maurice Revello 2018 graduate has been outstanding against Bayer Leverkusen (2-0) in his Champions League debut. Since that game, the solid defender retained his spot in the starting XI, shining notably against Udinese and Sassuolo.

Eberechi Eze (Queens Park Rangers) : A rough diamond ! While we're only at the half of the season, the 21-year-old midfielder, seen at the Maurice Revello Tournament last June, boasts already a tally of 10 goals and 6 assists in the Championship. On December, he has notably produced a man-of-the-match display against Preston.
Rodolfo Pizarro (Monterrey) : The Rayados will not forget the last days. Following their third place at the FIFA Club World Club (win over Saudi side Al-Hilal), the Monterrey-based club won the Mexican league title against Club America after a thrilling game (3-3 on aggregate score, then victory 4-2 on penalties). Pizarro and his teammates led their side to their first Liga MX trophy since 2010 !
James Ward-Prowse (Southampton) : In the relegation zone at the end of November, the Saints moved on up to the 12th place over the last weeks and they are now only five points away from the fifth place, a ranking rewarded with a place in the Europa League. Ward-Prowse played a key role in this upturn in form as the Tournoi Maurice Revello 2016 winner produced a string of solid performances, delivering notably two assists against Norwich and Aston Villa.
Jack Grealish (Aston Villa) : At 24, the Tournoi Maurice Revello 2016 winner is finally meeting the expectations. After helping his side to secure a return to the Premier League last season, the English midfielder confirms that he's stepping up to the next level. On December, he has been in excellent form : Grealish provided an assist against Norwich and scored against both Leicester and Southampton.
Olarenwaju Kayode (Gaziantep) : The Nigeria international, seen at the Tournoi Maurice Revello en 2013, has been unstoppable on December with the Süper Lig side ! 6 goals and 2 assists. Clinical !
