The 48th edition of the Maurice Revello Tournament will take place from June 1 to 14 in the Bouches-du-Rhône department. The format of the competition remains identical to previous years: 12 teams will participate in the Tournament and will be divided into 3 groups of 4 teams each. At the end of the group phase, the winners of each group and the best runner-up qualify for the semi-finals. The remaining teams play ranking matches.
Last month, we have started to unveil progressively the Maurice Revello Tournament 2020 line-up. After announcing the participation of DR Congo, Japan, England, Vietnam and Morocco we are glad to confirm that Mexico will compete in the Maurice Revello Tournament on June.
"El Tri" will make its 26th appearance at the Maurice Revello Tournament. Mexicans have impressed during the last decade as they have made their best performances in the Tournament. Winners in 2012, Mexico have then finished runners-up in 2018 and third in 2019.
After a fantastic run, Mexico won the Maurice Revello Tournament 2012
In the past, some Mexican legends played the Maurice Revello Tournament like Hugo Sanchez (1975, 1976) and Claudio Suarez (1988). More recently, big names like Guillermo Ochoa (2005), Hector Moreno (2006), Raul Jimenez as well as Hector Herrera (2012) have also took part in the Tournament.
