Each month, we select the TOTM featuring only Maurice Revello Tournament graduates who have shone with their clubs and/or their national teams. Let’s take a look at the players who stole the show in November 2020.
Hugo Lloris (Tottenham) :
With either his club or with his national team, the Maurice Revello Tournament 2006 best goalkeeper has been in excellent form over the last weeks. In 6 games played on November, Lloris has kept 4 clean-sheets and helped both Tottenham (3 wins and one draw) and France (2 wins) to earn good results.
Reece James (Chelsea) :
Except this week-end when Chelsea were held to a 0-0 draw by Tottenham, the right-back has won every game he played on November. Meanwhile, he produced a string of good displays and delivered an assist against Rennes in Champions League.
Ayman Ashraf (Al Ahly) :
By winning the African Champions League after beating fellow club Zamalek (2-1) in the final, the centre-back has lived one of the biggest moments in his career. This is the first continental trophy lifted by the Maurice Revello Tournament 2009 graduate.
Zouhair Feddal (Sporting) :
Since his arrival this summer, the Moroccan defender established himself as a key player for the Lisbon-based club. The Maurice Revello Tournament 2012 graduate played a pivotal role in the Sporting’s current winning streak as the Portuguese giants won their last 5 games.
Romain Perraud (Brest) :
The left-back is making a strong start to the season and he confirmed that on November. With one goal and two assists in 3 games, he helped Brest to earn three wins in a row in Ligue 1.
James Ward-Prowse (Southampton) :
Mister free-kicks ! With 3 fantastic direct free-kicks, added to 2 assists and a strong influence in the Saints midfield, the England international has been consistent and in excellent form on November. Contrary to his team which won only one game last month..
Mubarak Wakaso (Jiangsu Suning) :
They will remain forever first ! Thanks to their 2-1 win over giants Guangzhou Evergrande in the final second leg (0-0 in the first leg), Mubarak Wakaso and Jiangsu Suning won the first ever Chinese league title in the club’s history. A fantastic reward for the Ghana international who is a regular starter for the new champions.
Adrien Rabiot (Juventus) :
After struggling in his first season at Juventus, the former PSG player got back to his best. The Maurice Revello Tournament 2015 runner-up has been excellent with both Bianconeri and France on November.
Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus) :
7 goals in 8 games on November. At 36 and after contracting COVID-19 few weeks ago. What more can we say ?
Matheus Cunha (Hertha Berlin) :
The Maurice Revello Tournament 2019 top scorer is impressing the observers. With 4 goals and one assist, he has been the Hertha Berlin’s main offensive asset in the last games. However, despite the Brazilian’s form, the German side is currently struggling in the Bundesliga.
Andy Delort (Montpellier) :
On the personal level, everything is fine for the Algerian striker who scored 4 goals and delivered 2 assists in all competitions. On the collective level, everything is fine too as Montpellier earned four wins in a row in Ligue 1 while Algeria sealed their qualification for the next African Cup of Nations.
