Each international break is the opportunity for several players who took part in the Maurice Revello Tournament to make their international debut. Over the last days, some of them earned their first international cap.

Abdou Diallo & Nampalys Mendy (Senegal)

After both representing France at youth level, notably at the Maurice Revello Tournament (in 20122013 for Mendy, in 2016 for Dialo), the Leicester City midfielder and the Paris Saint-Germain defender have decided to play for Senegal at the senior level. Both made their debut with the Lions de la Téranga during the African Cup of Nations 2021 qualifier against Congo (0-0).

Kasey Palmer & Liam Moore (Jamaica)

The Jamaican Football Federation president Michael Ricketts has recently revealed his desire to convince several Anglo-Jamaican players to switch their international allegiance to the Reggae Boyz before the start of the World Cup 2022 qualifiers. Many of them responded positively to his call including two players who represented England at the Maurice Revello Tournament previously : Kasey Palmer and Liam Moore. The Bristol City attacking midfielder and the Reading defender earned their first cap over the last days in a friendly against United States (1-4).

Christian Martinez (Costa Rica)

Already called up to the Costa Rica senior team following his participation at the Maurice Revello Tournament 2015 with the U21 team, Christian Martinez hasn’t had the chance to make his international debut at that moment. The San Carlos midfielder waited almost six years and the current international break to earn his first cap with the Ticos during a friendly against Bosnia-Herzegovina (0-0).

Kévin Mayi (Gabon)

Eight years after taking part in the Maurice Revello Tournament 2013 with France, Kévin Mayi has opted for Gabon at the senior level. The Ümraniyespor forward made his debut with the Panthères during a crucial game against DR Congo in the African Cup of Nations 2021 qualifiers. Thanks to their 3-0, Gabonese secured their qualification for the AFCON 2021.

Roland AlbergDiego BiseswarRyan Donk (Suriname)

Like Jamaica, another CONCACAF national team convinced several bi-national players to join the squad for the World Cup 2022 qualifiers. Suriname called up several players who represented Netherlands at the youth level. Including three Maurice Revello Tournament graduates : Roland Alberg, Diego Biseswar and Ryan Donk. All of them made their international debut with Suriname this month. Alberg has even scored his first international goal during the World Cup 2022 qualifier against Aruba (6-0).
