The 2021-2022 season of the Bundesliga starts this Friday. 19 Maurice Revello Tournament graduates will play in the German top-flight during the upcoming campaign.

After the French Ligue 1, another league from the “Big Five” returns this Friday : the Bundesliga. The giants Bayern Munich are the favorites to reclaim the crown but the German champions will monitor closely the other potential title contenders.

RB Leipzig finished on the podium in the last three seasons and are obviously thinking about the crown held by the Bavarian rivals. In order to reach this goal, the Marco Rose’s side can count once again on their reliable goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi.

Alongisde Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund, other sides are expected to play leading roles. After securing their return to the Champions League, Wolfsburg are aiming to keep the momentum going especially as the Wolves brought back Lukas Nmecha, winner and top scorer of the Euro U21 earlier this summer.

Qualified in the Europa League, Eintracht Frankfurt want to continue the good work made the last season (5th in the Bundesliga) and hope that their playmaker Daichi Kamada will shine as he did during the 2020-2021 campaign (5 goals and 15 assists in 32 league games). The Japanese attacking midfielder will be helped in this task by Rafael Santos Borré who has been signed from River Plate following his strong performances in the Copa Libertadores with the Argentinian giants over the last seasons.
Meanwhile, the Bayer Leverkusen of Wendell and Paulinho, qualified as well for the Europa League, hope to finish once again in the European places at the end of the season

It should also be noted that the Bundesliga observers will follow carefully the Matheus Cunha's performances under the Hertha Berlin shirt. The Maurice Revello Tournament 2019 winner has been on fire during the Olympic Games, scoring notably in the final won by Brazil against Spain.
