Le Mexique l'emporte d'entrée !
Mexico wins for the first game !

En première mi-temps, les deux équipes rentrent dans le match sans attendre, pas de round d’opposition. Très vite, les occasions se multiplient, la rencontre est très ouverte. La première situation dangereuse est à mettre au crédit du Mexique. Ontiveros, virevoltant, se retrouve seul devant Okani mais le gardien nigérian dévie son tir (8’). Après un bon début de match, le Nigéria recule et les Mexicains en profitent. A la 27ème, sur une énorme erreur du défenseur central nigérian Okorie, Zavala récupère le ballon et trompe Okani. 1-0 pour le Mexique ! Suite à l’ouverture du score, le Nigeria n'arrive plus à construire une action. Les Super Eagles sont totalement dépassés ! Malgré tout, juste avant la mi-temps, sur un cente côté droit, Egbedi et Mathias se retrouvent seuls dans la surface ! Mathias tire mais Sanchez Alcaraz sort une superbe parade !
En seconde période, le Nigéria revient sur le terrain avec de nouvelles intentions. Dès la 53ème, tout part du côté droit avec Gero. Le ballon est touché successivement par 3 joueurs avant d’atterrir dans les pieds de Madu qui tire. Ça passe juste à côté ! Quelques minutes plus tard, sur un centre côté droit, Micheal contrôle le ballon dans la surface. Le milieu de terrain nigérian frappe mais son tir frôle le poteau du gardien mexicain (58’) ! De manière générale, le Nigeria domine la seconde mit-temps. Toutefois, en fin de match, le Mexique retrouve peu à peu son jeu et parvient à marquer un deuxième but pour tuer le suspense. Fanjul Abella est le buteur. 2-0 pour le Mexique ! Malgré une fin de match animée, le score ne changera pas. Le Mexique soigne son entrée dans la compétition.

In the first half, the two teams enter directly in the game, there’s no observation round. Very quicly, the first atempts are here, it’s a very nice game to see. The first real dangerous situation is for Mexico. Ontiveros, alone in front of Okani, shots but the goalkeeper put the ball in corner (8’). After a good begin in this game, it’s becoming more and more difficult for Nigeria to get out his box. After a huge mistake of Okorie, Zavala takes the ball and send it into the net (27’). 1-0 for Mexico ! After the goal, Nigeria can’t play well anymore and show too much weaknesses. Super Eagles are totally out ! However, just before the before, Egbedi and Mathias find themselves alone in the box, with a ball coming from the right side of the field. Mathias shots but Sanchez Alcaraz show an amazing skills to stop the ball.
In the second half, Nigeria come back on the field with a better spirit. Great skills from them, the ball is touched by three players before the shot of Madu (53’). It goes just few centimeters out of the net ! Five minutes later, the ball is coming from the right side, Michael control it in the box. The midfielder kick it but his shot is out once again (58’). Generally, this second period is dominated by Nigeria. However, at the end of the game, Mexico play well again and finally score a second goal to kill the suspense. Fanjul Abella scores the second goal for his team thanks to a shot in the box ! 2-0 for Mexico ! Even with many occasions at the end on the game, the score won’t change anymore.
