After each round of the Rio Olympics, we take a look at the performances of the Toulon Tournament former players. During the quarter-finals, Luan stole the show again with Brazil !

Portugal – Germany : 0-4

Before this game, Portugal were in good form as they were unbeaten (two wins, one draw) and finished atop of their group. However, the goalkeeper Bruno Varela (Toulon Tournament 2014) and his teammates were outclassed by Germany during this quarter-final and lived a nightmare…

Nigeria - Denmark : 2-0

After being benched against Colombia, the right-back Abdullahi Shehu (Toulon Tournament 2013) has returned to the Nigeria starting line-up for this crucial clash against Denmark. The Uniao Madeira player produced a solid performance and helped his team to not concede a goal.

South Korea – Honduras : 0-1

The tournament is over for South Korea. The Asian team couldn’t find an opening against Honduras despite the presence of the attacking midfielder Ryu Seung-Woo (Toulon Tournament 2013) and the midfielder Moon Changjin (Toulon Tournament 2014) in the starting line-up.

Brazil – Colombia : 2-0

After an impressive game against Denmark, Luan (Toulon Tournament 2014 winner) confirmed his good form with Brazil during this quarter-final. The Gremio attacking midfielder netted the second goal of his team with a curled effort.
On the other side, the Colombian striker Miguel Borja (Toulon Tournament 2013) came off the bench during the second half and had two opportunities to score but couldn’t make a difference.
