Paraguay reverse the trend and beat Guinea

After a game played in tough conditions because of a strong wind, Paraguay perfectly start their tournament by beating Guinea (2-1). Nevertheless, Franco Benitez teammates had an intricate game against a brave Guinea team.
Despite he fell in the box after a foul, Tasfir standed up and scored after a dribble aroud the goalkeeper (1-0, 12'). A goal which woke up Paraguay. Carlos Paredes team put pressure on Guinea camp. Segio Diaz was near to equalize after a shot well blocked by the goalkeeper (28') and a wonderful play with Villasanti fnished by a shot off the net (29'). However Paraguay didn't have to wait a while before scoring. Only one minute later, Diaz again entered in the box and sends the ball in the net thanks to a crossed shot (1-1, 30').

Paraguay kept the pressure on a young and inexperienced Guinea team but couldn't succeed to get some opportunities. It finally arrived afte the hour of playing. Alderete gave the lead to his team with an accurate volley after Guinea missed a clearance (1-2, 66'). Just came off the bench, Britez added a third goal by scoring after a Doucouré save on a Gimenez shot (3-1, 78'). Surely a perfect start for Paraguay, who will face Japan for their next game. Guinea will play against Portugal.
