Roger Assalé has impressed at Young Boys of Bern since joining the club this winter from Tout Puissant Mazembé (DR Congo). The Ivory Coast international, who took part in the Toulon Tournament 2015, has had a huge impact in his two appearances with the Swiss side. Introduced as a second-half substitute against St-Gallen (2-2), the 23-year-old attacking midfielder netted the equalizer for Young Boys. One week later, Assalé distinguished himself against Grasshopper Zurich (3-2) as he netted a brace.

His impressive start to life at Young Boys can help him to force his way back into the Ivory Coast squad. Assalé has 4 international caps to his name and hasn’t featured for Ivory Coast since November 2015.
