Zambia booked their place for the World Cup U20 as they hammered Mali (6-1). After the opening goal scored by Mali’s captain Abdoul Karim Danté, the Zambians were simply unstoppable. Fashion Sakala netted the equalizer after 8 minutes and few minutes later Emmanuel Banda has probably scored the best goal of the tournament as he fired a wonderful volley into the top corner. Just before the half time, Enock Mwepu scored the Zambia’s third goal. In the second half, Edward Chliyufa netted a brace while Fashion Sakala added another goal in the last minutes of the game.

Few hours earlier, Egypt and Guinea shared the spoils (1-1). Mostafa Mohamed netted the opener for Egypt but Yamodou Touré leveled the scores with ten minutes remaining.

Group B : Senegal 4 pts, South Africa 3 pts, Cameroon 3 pts, Sudan 1 pt.

Senegal go top of the group after earning a thrilling 4-3 win over South Africa. South Africa took a two-goal advantage in the first half thanks to goals from Liam Jordan and Tercious Malepe. The Senegalese eventually erased this two-goal deficit as both Ousseynou Diagne and Ibrahima Niané netted a brace. Then, the South African forward Luther Singh scored his fourth goal of the tournament with nine minutes remaining.

In the other game, Cameroon outclassed Sudan (4-1) thanks to goals from Jih Ketu, Ayuk Mbu, Oum Goult and Olivier Mbaissidara while Musa reduced the deficit for Sudan.
