Soualiho Haidara (Ivory Coast head coach) : "We deserve the win"

Soualiho Haidara shown his satisfaction after Ivory Coast win over Bahrain (1-0) :

"We faced up a very good opponent. We had only a big opportunity but we were able to score a goal. They had more chances than us with several missed face-to-face. But we were more efficient than them and we deserve the win.

Our goal is to reach the semi-finals. We are in a very difficult group with France and Wales but this victory gives us some motivation for the next games. Now, we have to recover and focus on the next confrontations".

Jean Amani, Ivory Coast's offensive midfielder, was also glad with the result :

"We had a good game but it was very hard. At the beginning of a competition like this, there's always some tension and stress. There are some good individual skills, the chemistry takes time to reach a good level.
We were dominated all the game but we won so it was a good game. About my missed opportunity, I anticipate the pass from my striker. So, I'm alone in front of the goalkeeper but I fail my shot. I was nearly falling, it's the reason why the ball went away from the net".
