The Toulon Tournament is fast approaching. To wait patiently until the beginning of the 46th edition of the competition (from 26th May to 9th June), let’s take a look at the players who could shine during the Maurice Revello Tournament 2018. Today, we talk about Yorgan Agblemagnon, Togo's goalkeeper.

In Agblemagnon family, being a goalkeeper is something else. By choosing this position, Yorgan Agblemagnon had only one dream : follow the likes of his father, Guy, former football player and Togo national squad's goalkeeper. At eighteen years old, Yorgan already made his dream happen, as he has been called-up twice with Les Eperviers.

He was only seventeen years old when he made his debuts with Togo under the gap of Claude Le Roy on March 2017. The goalkeeper was playing at this time with U19s Le Havre squad and never appeared yet with the first team. But, convinced by his talent, the French coach did not care about it and offered to his young player his two first starts in the team against Libya and Egypt in Alexandria.

This precociousness drawn attention to Europe. The goalkeeper was already courted by some English clubs and had many requests at the end of 2016-2017 season. His contract was not extended by Le Havre, so he could sign for the club he wanted for free. Despite the calls from England, Agbemagnon chose Portugal. In August 2017, he joined Nacional Madeira and signed a one-year contract. The deal was simple : the goalkeeper had to finish his development and prove he has the quality to incorportate the Portuguese clubs' professionnal group.

A few months later, the Verzion born keeps learning and waiting, as he did not play yet with Nacional first team. Never called-up again since his surprising arrival in national squad last year, Yorgan Agblemagnon could come back with Togo in the next weeks. For their first participation to the Maurice Revello Tournament, Togo want to bring some players from Europe. Claude Le Roy is the head coach of the team which will play the competition from 26th May to 9th June. A man that Agblemagnon knows well. And vice versa...
