The Toulon Tournament is fast approaching. To wait patiently until the beginning of the 46th edition of the competition (from 26th May to 9th June), let’s take a look at the players who could shine during the Maurice Revello Tournament 2018. Today, we talk about Woo-Yeong Jeong, the Bayern Munich youngster.
Absent from the last three editions, the South Koreans are back at the Maurice Revello Tournament. In order to shine during its fifth participation to the Toulon Tournament, the Asian nation will count on several talents who are playing in Europe. One of them could be Woo-Yeong Jeong.
This name probably means nothing to you. However, the 18-year-old attacking midfielder is one of the brightest young talents in the country like illustrated by his recent move. The German giants Bayern Munich have spent around 700K€ on January to sign him from the Korean side Incheon United although he has never played a single minute at the professional level. The Bundesliga champions have shown faith in him by offering him a contract until June 2022.
Woo-Yeong Jeong seems to have adapted quickly to his new life as he has already made several training sessions with the Bayern Munich first-team. Meanwhile, he has also distinguished himself with the U19 team.
In the Youth League last round of 16, on February, the South Korean youngster shone against Real Madrid (2-3) as he forced an opponent into picking up a red card before delivering an assist few minutes later.
Woo-Yeong Jeong has shown glimpses of his talent since his arrival in Germany and he could have the opportunity to shine with his country on May during the Toulon Tournament 2018.
