Mexico won 3 goals to 1 against China this Friday afternoon at Parsemain Stadium of Fos-sur-Mer. After being surprised as soon as the match began by altruistic Chinese, Marco Ruiz’s men quickly reacted and qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament.

Mexico are impressive. Very impressive. Regarding the level of playing of their three last games, El Tri is a candidate for the final victory of the Festival. The Mexican eleven has not many weaknesses. Defensively, offensively, it is strong. Their superiority appeared again against China this Friday.

However, they struggle at the beggining of the game. China open the score at the 12th minute. After a Mexican loses the ball, Xie plays perfectly the occasion. He passes a defender and give the ball on the right to Deng. The Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao’s player controls and then punishes the Mexican with an heavy shot under the post from right foot (1-0, 12th).

The Aztec coach, Marco Ruiz, reacts right away. End of the 4-2-4 for a 4-1-3-2. Diego Lainez, former left winger, is now in the centre behind Aguirre and Alvarado. Winning coaching. El Tri is more dangerous. Alvarado, found by Antuna, takes over his direct opponent and is now alone in front of the Chinese keeper. He finishes with a beautiful shot from left foot that goes straight into the net. Less than ten minutes later, Diego Lainez takes a free-kick. With a perfect curled center, he sends the ball to Aguirre’s header. The Tampico Madero striker gives the lead to the Mexican (1-2, 36th).

During the second half, the game becomes more rough. A brawl starts between Chinese and Mexican. However, no red car is given. Before that, Marco Ruiz’s players score another goal for the break. At the source of the play… Diego Lainez. On a free-kick, Club America’s player finds Montes in the area who is pulled by the jersey and referee logically gives a penalty. Aguirre takes it and scores his fourth goal in the competition (1-3, 66th). The score don’t move anymore. Mexico, impressive along this competition, qualify for the semi-finals. China are now out of the tournament.
