World Cup 2018 : France and Lloris secured a spot for the last round of 16, a deserved win for Brazil and Alisson

The World Cup 2018 takes place from 14th June to 15th July. It should be noted that 81 players who took part in the Maurice Revello Tournament compete in the World Cup. Throughout the competition, we will take look at their performances !

Denmark-Australia : 1-1

Like during the first game against Peru, Henrik Dalsgaard has been included in the starting XI against Australia. The 28-year-old defender has produced a strong display and helped his country to get a crucial point.

France-Peru : 1-0

Les Bleus earned a second win in a row and can thank their captain Hugo Lloris. The France keeper made a brilliant save to deny a José Paolo Guerrero’s effort in the first half. The French players secured a spot for the last round of 16.

Argentina-Croatia : 0-3

Disappointing during its World Cup opener against Iceland, the Argentinian national team has been outclassed by Croatia. Like their teammates, Gabriel Mercado and Javier Mascherano, both included in the starting XI, endured a nightmare…

Brazil-Costa Rica  2-0

The Seleçao waited until the additional time to break the deadlock against Costa Rica. The Maurice Revello Tournament 2013 winner Alisson has had nothing to do as Brazil dominated the whole game. Meanwhile, Fernandinho came off the bench in the second half.
