The Maurice Revello Tournament 2003 best player is the Argentina most capped player ever as he earned 145 international caps.
Uruguay-Portugal : 2-1
Despite having four Toulon Tournament former players in the starting line-up (Ricardo Pereira, Adrien Silva, Joao Mario and Cristiano Ronaldo), Portugal have been beaten by the Celeste. Like in 2010, the Seleçao faced a last-16 exit. Frustrating for the European champions…
Spain-Russia : 1-1 (3-4 pen)
This is already the biggest sensation of the round of 16 ! Spain have been eliminated by the country host. This is a fairytale story for the Russians who reached the World Cup quarter-finals for the first time ever. Fedor Smolov helped his side to clinch the qualification as he scored during the penalty shootout.
Croatia-Denmark : 1-1 (3-2 pen)
The Maurice Revello Tournament 2010 runner-up Mathias Jorgensen netted the opener after one minute only. Unfortunately for him and his teammates, Croatians levelled the scores quickly and eventually won the game after the penalty shootout.
