Fifty-five European nations, divided into four leagues, are taking part in the newly created UEFA Nations League. Meanwhile, the CONCACAF Nations League has started as well with thirty-four participating nations. Let’s take a look at the performances made by the Maurice Revello Tournament former players in both competitions.
UEFA
France – Netherlands : 2-1 (League A – Group 1)
For their Nations League opener, the Dutch players have been beaten by the French world champions. In good form with Brighton (Premier League), Davy Pröpper has been included in the starting XI and has played the full 90 minutes. Meanwhile, Daryl Janmaat and Ruud Vormer came off the bench in the second half.

Denmark– Wales : 2-0 (League B – Group 4)
The issue between the Danish players and their federation belongs in the past. Thanks to that, Denmark faced Wales with their best team and eventually earned their first win in the competition. The Maurice Revello Tounament 2010 runners-up Mathias Jorgensen and Henrik Dalsgaard helped their side to keep a clean sheet. Their opponents couldn’t find the net despite the introduction of David Brooks and Tyler Roberts in the second half.

Bulgarie – Norvège : 1-0 (League C – Group 3)
Without making waves, the Bulgarians earned their second victory in a row. Few days after beating Slovenia, the Petar Hubchev boys have beaten Norway. Bozhidar Kraev, Kiril Despodov and Kristiyan Malinov, who played the Maurice Revello Tournament 2016, have contributed to this win.
Standings: Bulgaria 6 pts, Norway 3 pts, Cyprus 3 pts, Slovenia 0 pt.
CONCACAF
US Virgin Islands – Canada : 0-8
34 CONCACAF Member Associations are taking part in the qualifying phase of the CONCACAF Nations League. The participating teams will play four games and then will be divided into three leagues. The six best teams will join the League A, the teams ranked between the 7th and the 22nd place will join the League B. The others will compete in the League C.
Canada hit the ground running as they earned their largest win in a competitive game. Few weeks after taking part in the Maurice Revello Tournament 2018, Derek Cornelius and Jonathan David made their international debut. David distinguished himself by netting a brace.
