Harold Moukoudi, a rock at the back for Le Havre

Harold Moukoudi’s growth is encouraging. A promising 2017-2018 season (35 league games, 4 goals) with Le Havre combined to some strong displays with France during the Maurice Revello Tournament 2018 helped the 20-year-old defender to make a name for himself over the last months.

His performances allowed him to attract the interest from several Ligue 1 clubs and Aston Villa. The Championship side was ready to spend around €9M to lure the Bondy-born this summer. However, the latter has decided to stay with his childhood club.

“Money is not my main priority. I want to build my career and I think that’s too early to move to a foreign country after only season at the professional level. Despite the attractive offers that we’ve had, we agreed with my family that the best option was to continue my development with Le Have”, he said to France Bleu Normandie.

This season, Le Havre boast one of the best defenses in the league so far (only 7 goals conceded in 10 games) notably thanks to the 1m91 defender who established himself as one of the key players of the French side.

No doubt that several clubs will try to lure him again in the upcoming months while his contract is expiring at the end of the season…
