What a game. In the beggining of the Matchday 2 this Tuesday at Stade de Lattre of Aubagne, Japan hammered Chile (6-1). The Asian team is at the top of the group A and in a good position to qualify for the semi-finals.The Akinobou Yokouchi's side were too strong for the South American players.
Japan were already three goals ahead after eighteen minutes thanks to Mitoma (7') and Hatate (12', 18'). Despite Araos reduced the deficit (35'), Japan added two goals by Iwasaki (39', 45') to lead 5-1 at the half-time. Hatate offered himself a hat-trick in the second-half (63') and a sixth goal to his squad. A sensational performance for Japan, that count two wins in a row in the tournament.
