While the summer transfer market has just closed its doors, it is now time to take a look at the Maurice Revello Tournament graduates who could make a name for themselves this season in Ligue 1. From Nayef Aguerd to Arthur Zagre, here is our list of ten players !
Nayef Aguerd (Rennes)
The 24-year-old defender may have been a cheap signing for Rennes (€4m) but he could well prove to be one of the most effective recruits this season for the club. Since his arrival from Dijon, the finalist of the Maurice Revello Tournament 2015 has played all six Ligue 1 games played by Rennes this season. The Moroccan international (2 caps) has even scored twice.
Trevoh Chalobah (Lorient)
If his start of the season was stopped by a COVID-19 positive test and then a knee injury (8 minutes played in Ligue 1 only this season), the player loaned by Chelsea has all the right stuff for the Merlus. The English U21 international has just finished two full seasons in the Championship (43 games with Ipswich in 2018-2019 and 36 games with Huddersfield in 2019-2020). These are all references that need to be confirmed with Lorient...

Jonathan David (Lille)
The Canadian, who is the most expensive signing in Lille's history (27M€), did not start his history with the Dogues in the best possible way since he still hasn't found the net in six Ligue 1 games. However, the qualities of the 20-year-old striker are undeniable as we have seen in the national team (12 games, 11 goals with Canada) or on the European scene with La Gantoise (7 goals in 17 games in the Europa League). All that remains now is to repeat these performances with LOSC.

Kévin Denkey (Nîmes)
Considered a joker in the previous year, the 19-year-old striker could well move up in the upcoming months. The Togolese international (4 caps, 1 goal) has indeed started the majority of games this season and has found the net against Brest. The year of revelation for the promising striker from Nîmes ?
Axel Disasi (Monaco)
After a very solid 2018-2019 season with Reims, the robust 22-year-old defender has animated the transfer market chronicle for several weeks. Finally, the 1.90m tall colossus, who played in the Maurice Revello Tournament in 2018, decided to continue his career in Monaco, which paid €13m to sign him this summer. In the Principality, Disasi has already established himself as a regular and has notably opened his goal counter against... Reims, his former club!
Florentino Luis (Monaco)
A member of the golden generation that won the Euro U19 with Portugal in 2018, the midfielder continued this fine dynamic by joining Benfica's first team and making his Champions League debut last October. However, his playing time has been reduced in recent months. A hardly satisfactory situation for one of the biggest prospects of Lusitanian football : the Portuguese U21 international has therefore decided to join Ligue 1 and more precisely Monaco in the form of a loan to continue his improvement.

Sehrou Guirassy (Rennes)
His 9 goals in 23 Ligue 1 games last season could not avoid the relegation for Amiens. However, his performances have not gone unnoticed : Rennes did not hesitate to spend 15 M€ to sign him. For the moment, the current Ligue 1 leader don't have enough to regret their investment : the runner-up of the Maurice Revello Tournament 2016 has already scored 3 goals in 5 Ligue 1 games and seems set to be the attacking leader of the Rennes team !
Harold Moukoudi (Saint-Etienne)
Arriving in Saint-Etienne in July 2019 from Le Havre, the Cameroonian international (1 cap) struggled to win with Les Verts. The Saint-Etienne executives even decided to loan him to Middlesbrough (D2 England) last January. Now back in the Forez, "Sergeant" Moukoudi is gradually settling into the starting eleven of ASSE at the start of the season and could definitely win his place in the coming weeks.
Le règne du Sergent Moukoudi va enfin pouvoir commencer.

Quel plaisir de le revoir à son niveau époque Le Havre.
Romain Perraud (Brest)
Named in the Maurice Revello Tournament best XI in 2018, the French left-back has not stopped to improve since : a successful 2018-2019 season in Ligue 2 with Paris FC followed by a solid 2019-2020 season in Ligue 1 with Brest. Over the last few weeks, the 23-year-old player seems to be continuing this momentum: already two goals and two assists in five Ligue 1 games this season. Promising...
Arthur Zagré (Dijon)
The summer 2019 had been particularly successful for the young left-back : a participation in the Maurice Revello Tournament with France, a Ligue 1 debut with Paris SG then a transfer to AS Monaco for €10m. Since then, the 19-year-old appeared only three times with Monaco in national cups. Too poor to hope to progress: as a result, Monaco has decided to loan the French U19 international to Dijon this season so that he can earn some playing time in Ligue 1.
