More than 90 Maurice Revello Tournament alumni to play in 2022 FIFA World Cup

The 2022 FIFA World Cup kicks off in Qatar on Sunday 20 November. Of the 32 competing teams, 91 players and coaches took part in the Maurice Revello Tournament.

There will be a bit of the Maurice Revello Tournament at the World Cup. The most prestigious international football competition opens this Sunday in Qatar. Among the participants, 82 players played in the Maurice Revello Tournament in their youth. That's one more than at the previous World Cup in 2018, further proof of the quality of the teams assembled at the Tournament each year

Of the 32 nations competing, 18 have some players who have featured in the Tournament. Japan (11), Portugal (11) and Mexico (10) have the most.

Among the managers, there are also nine former participants as players or managers.
