Le Mexique finit sur une bonne note / Mexico ends on a happy note
En seconde période, le scenario est différent : le Mexique domine toujours mais se procure beaucoup plus d’occasions. A commencer par une tête cadrée de Zuniga (MEX, 11) (45’). Les efforts des Mexicains vont être récompensés par un tir puissant d’Hernandez (MEX, 20) qui trouve le chemin des filets (0-1, 58’). La « Tri » est même proche de doubler la mise mais le tir de Van Rankin (MEX, 6) touche la barre transversale (62’) ! De son côté la Chine est inexistante dans cette rencontre hormis une frappe de Luo (CHI, 10) bloquée par le gardien (67’).
La donne ne changera pas et le Mexique connaît enfin le goût de la victoire pour sa dernière rencontre du tournoi.
It’s a game without real stakes between China and Mexico. Except the challenge to finish the tournament with a win. Maybe not much concerned by this match, the both team don’t show a lot of things. Between lack of rhythm and technical imprecisions.
In the second half, the scenario is different: Mexico still dominates but has more opportunities to score. Reflected by the Zuniga’s (MEX,11) header (45’). The strivings of Mexico will be rewarded by a powerful shot of Hernandez (MEX, 20) which beats the Chinese goalkeeper (0-1, 58). The “Tri” is near to score another goal but the Van Rankin’s shot (MEX,6) finds the crossbar (62’) !
If Mexico has many attempts, China doesn’t exist in this game except a Luo’s shot (CHI, 10) blocked the goalkeeper (67’). The result will not change and Mexico gets his first win for his last game of the tournament.
