The European championships start during this month. The opportunity for some players who took part in the Toulon Tournament to distinguish themselves with their teams.
This week-end, Eric Dier (England – 2014), confirmed his superb form with Tottenham in scoring his second goal in two Premier League games. It was during the Spurs’s victory against QPR (4-0).
In Ligue 1, Monaco earned its first win of the season thanks to two players who contested the tournament in the past. Layvin Kurzawa (France – 2013) sent a perfect cross to Falcao (Colombia – 2006) who scored with a header.

It should also be noted that Eliseu (Portugal – 2004) gave the victory to Benfica against Boavista (1-0) with a powerful shot from distance. To finish, another Toulon Tournament’s former player distinguished himself : Fabian Orellana (Chile – 2008). The Celta Vigo forward found the top corner from the edge of the box and contributed with his goal to the win against Getafe (3-1).
