La Côte d’Ivoire dompte la Chine
La troupe de Fu Bo se montre plus entreprenante en début de seconde période. La Chine joue un peu plus haut et par le biais de deux frappes lointaines, se montre dangereuse. Insuffisant cependant pour réduire l’écart au tableau d’affichage. Pire, les Chinois ont frôlé la correctionnelle. Le missile de Bayo (CIV, 5) vient fracasser le poteau gauche de Yeerjieti (CHN, 12). La Chine réalise une deuxième mi-temps de bien meilleure qualité. En vain. La Chine est bonne dernière du groupe B avec trois défaites et zéro but marqué en trois rencontres …
Ivory Coast comfortably beats China
Better than a China team not in a good day, Ivory Coast easily won (3-0). By scoring three goals in the first thirty minutes of the game, Britto (CIV, 17) team mates handled the game early. The Ivorians started well this game, After 5 minutes, Bedia (CIV, 9) gave the lead to the “Elephants” with a stunning strike from the edge of the box. The African team controlled the game and can thank Assale (CIV, 7) who did a good performance today. Ivory Coast added logically a second goal. Zhang (CHN, 2) scored an own goal under pressure from Bedia (CIV, 9). Few minutes later, the Ivorians scored again thanks to Ouattara (CIV, 15) who fired a diving header.
During the second half, the Chinese players seemed better on the pitch but they didn’t succeed to score. On the hour mark, Ivory Coast was close to have a four-goal advantage but the Bayo’s (CIV,5) powerful shot hit the post. China showed a better performance in this second half but couldn't come back in the game. Bo Fu's team is last of the group B, with three losses and without any goals scored...
