Focus on... Marie-Antoinette Katoto, the French rising star

The Toulon Tournament is fast approaching. As the Sud Ladies Cup. To wait patiently until the beginning of the 1st edition of the competition (from 5th to 10th June), let’s take a look at the players who could shine during the Sud Ladies Cup 2018. Today, we talk about the French PSG forward Marie-Antoinette Katoto.

The 19 years old Colombes born launched her career in the best way with Paris Saint-Germain. She started on 2014 at 16 years old with the club of her heart. For her first year, she appeared twice and scored her first goal during the 5-0 win over Rodez. The two following seasons were also successful, as Marie-Antoinette Katoto played 14 games and scored 3 goals on 2015/2016 and 6 goals on 2016/2017. For her fourth year with the Parisian club, she was finally under the lights and did an exceptionnal season, by netting 20 times. She was the second top scorer of 1st Women French Division and was recently rewarded by the best young player title award and a nomination in the team of the season.

She reached the women Champions League final twice on 2015 and 2017 and the French Cup final on 2017. With PSG, she was runner-up of the French League on 2015 and 2016. She also won with France squad, as she clinched the 2016 U19 women Euro in Slovakia. Marie-Antoinette Katoto was the top scorer of the competition (6 goals) and netted the second French goal in final against Spain (2-1).

Today, she is one of the U20 France key players, as she is also the captain. The new PSG rising star will have the goal to won the first edition of the Sud Ladies Cup and get the best preparation for the U20 World Cup in France in August.
